Here we are. My blog for a graduate class that I am taking through SPSD. 12 technologies for the 21st century - 12:21. I know some of the technologies, but am looking forward to learning more about the others. I am also hoping to be able to integrate them easily and effectively into my classroom.
I wonder though if the kids might get overwhelmed by doing blogs for every class. I know they love technology and use it easily, but more tech? Is there a point where there is too much?

Nice pic to start the blog, Scott. As for blogs or any other technology motivating kids, I believe that horse has left the barn. The novelty has worn off and we can't really keep up with the tech entertainment kids really do enjoy. But I'd much rather have kids blog than write in paper notebook journals, for example. So it's not so much will they like it, but more what we find is effective for teaching. And I also don't believe blogging is the right tool for every class. But each teacher will know what is best for them.

Our hope, Scott, is that each of you takes away one or two of the tech tools we are learning about to integrate into your classroom teaching practice, while becoming familiar with the others. There are 11 to go, so hang in there. Something will appeal to you.
